Sanctions
We also check every partner against UK, EU, UN and US sanctions lists.
Five promises first. Then the full terms.
The Introducer Charter sets out what we each promise, in plain English. The full agreement follows, with notes in the margin. Two key terms are flagged so nothing is buried.
Introducer Charter
-
1
You introduce. You never advise.
You tell clients we exist and, with their permission, pass on their details. You don't recommend products, rates or timing. Our specialists do that, and they're trained and supervised for it.
-
2
Client money never touches you or us.
It goes straight to our regulated partners, into accounts in the client's own name. You never hold, receive or pass on a client's funds.
-
3
Each of us is responsible for the data we hold.
Share a client's details with us only when they've agreed. Once we have them, protecting them is our job.
Consent script"Are you happy for me to pass your name and contact details to CurrencyTransfer so they can get in touch?"
-
4
Complaints come to us, never back to you.
If a client is unhappy, we handle it. They can also take it to our regulated partner, and then to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
-
5
Tell your clients you're paid for introductions.
Most professional bodies expect it, and clients appreciate it. Paste this into your engagement letter:
Referral fees. We may introduce you to CurrencyTransfer for international payments. If you become a CurrencyTransfer client, they pay us a fee for the introduction. We will tell you the amount on request. We do not advise on currency or payments, and we never handle your money. You are free to choose any provider.
